We were totally blessed with great weather over the weekend. Friday night we went over to Kevin's cousin's house to meet their new little baby girl Reagan. Reagan was born the previous Saturday with fluid in her lungs and was transported to Christ Hospital, but was doing fine the next day and they were able to remove the tubes. She came home from the hospital on Wednesday. We brought over stuff to make homemade pizza for dinner. Kileigh was really sweet watching Reagan in the swing and blowing her kisses. She took me upstairs and wanted to check out the nursery, so we walked around and Kileigh kept saying "what's that?". If you are around Kileigh for a short amount of time, you will hear that phrase atleast once.
Saturday my friend Dee, who is also Kileigh's former babysitter, and I had a rummage sale. She runs a home daycare, so she had plenty of baby & kid stuff to get rid of. I got rid of some things that Kileigh doesn't use or that I had extras of and some things laying around the house. It was hot and I ended up getting sunburned and had a migraine. When we were done and had packed everything back into the garage, I went home and took a cold shower. I took some migraine medicine and shortly after I was feeling better. Kevin's parents came over to watch the Blackhawks game. They brought corn on the cob & pasta salad and Kevin grilled burgers. My mom brought up the dogs because they were leaving for Florida on Monday and we were dog sitting, since they will be watching Haley for us when we go to the Ozarks in June. The Hawks won 6-5.
Sunday morning Dee texted me to see if I wanted to have the rummage sale. I said that Kevin was working, so why not. We had a cookout to go to, but I wasn't going anywhere till he got home. My mom watched Kileigh while we did the sale. She was able to get rid of a big painting and some more baby stuff. My mom found some stuff for Kileigh for her house (tricycle, Sesame Street play tent, and a pack 'n play). After the sale, I loaded all the clothes in the back of my car and we dropped them off at Goodwill on the way to Valerie & Aaron's. We picked up some chips & taco dip from Jewel on the way. Aaron has 4 sisters and 3 of them have had babies in the past 7 months, so there were 4 babies including Reagan who was officially 8 days old. Kileigh was very intrigued by all the babies and the older kids as well. I got to spend some time sitting and holding Reagan, who had been awake all afternoon and then took a nice little nap. Kevin occupied Kileigh for me.
Monday morning we did yard work. I planted some iris and gladiolia bulbs and watered flowers while Kevin mowed and weed wacked the yard. While I was getting ready, he cleaned the garage and then Kileigh took a nap, while we sat outside and watched the storm approach. Once the rain came, we went inside and vegged for a couple hours while Kileigh slept. Then we went to Kevin's grandma's house for a cookout. We left in time to get home for the Blackhawks game and another win! Woo Hoo! Hawks are up 2-0 in the series.
